Dining Room

I wanted a dining room table that could withstand a beating from the kids, so reclaimed wood in all its perfectly imperfect glory was the clear choice for us. This is a narrow dining space (about a 14 ft. x 7 ft. of useable space since the side entrance of the house is here), yet I wanted it to feel special so I chose an oversized light fixture that was reminiscent of the feeling of outdoor string lights. Our dining room does not get that much light, so adding white chairs into this space really helped lighten the overall feel, and putting a mirror on the opposite wall gives the illusion of a bigger space.
